Hear In The Forest - (2006) I began writing/recording in late January of '05, and a week later had 8 songs finished. The rest of the disc took considerably longer to complete. The title of the disc came about from both the picture you see and the thought of wandering through the forest of feelings we all have, and what those feelings would sound like. When you walk through a forest you encounter different landscapes; when you listen to this music you encounter different soundscapes. Enjoy the hike through this Forest! Recorded with Cakewalk software. Main Guitars - (Electric) Squier '51 & ESP EC 300, (Acoustic) Epiphone AJ 18.

The Order Of Chaos - Chaotic best describes the way I play, write, and record music; one minute I'll have nothing, the next, I've got a "song." I was surprised & pleased at how positive and uplifting the music was to me and hopefully will be to you, the listener as well. I played a lot of acoustic guitar this summer of '04, and it showed up here with 7 acoustic songs (2, 4, 6, 9, 14, 17, & 18). The Land Of The Free…, the title was a quote from a widow of a Wisconsin serviceman killed in Iraq, and made me reflect again on how many Americans have served and given their lives throughout our history as a nation. It was recorded June 6, D-day, and is a thank you to all veterans. The Antikythera Mechanism - an ancient computer-like device supposedly used to calculate the movement of stars and planets. Telempathy = telepathy + empathy. The cover was created using a fractal generating program, which was then modified and colored. Recorded with Zoom PS-02 and on PC with Plasma software. Main guitars - acoustic - Epiphone AJ18SCE, classical - Alvarez RC10, electric - DeArmond M-75. (2004).

New Clear Winter – Whether seeking Safe Harbor from Lake Effect snows to New Clear (and cold!) days, or being warmed by the Smiles of Kith and Kin at Christmas, I attempted to document both the winters of Northern Wisconsin and the winters of life. Strat-a-various - a Strat plugged through a basic guitar synth with violin patch. From Battleground/To Hallowed Ground is my most heartfelt tribute to the many brave Americans who have made and continue to make the Ultimate Sacrifice for us. Anyone touched by these sacrifices becomes a Soul Survivor. Recorded with PS-02 and on PC with Plasma software. Main guitar - ESP LTD EC300 Eclipse, acoustic guitar - Applause AE48, classical - Alvarez RC10 (2004).

Sound Advice - Celebrating 20 years of grasping at strings, honoring my musical influences, and dealing with Sept. 11. A Chill In The Air was recorded Sept. 11, 2003. Ultima Thule - mythical island where the setting sun rests, inspired by a short story of that name by John Galsworthy (1914), and a footnote in Faust. The Electric Gypsy inspired by Jimi, Estrellitas - a Santana type song, Panacea for Jimi & SRV, Summer Snow - a Rush type thing, and Has It Ever Been Thus -written for my mom on Mother's Day. Recorded with the Zoom PS-02. Main guitar - ESP LTD EC300 Eclipse, acoustic - Applause AE48, classical - Alvarez RC10 (2003).

Words Fail - Sorrow & Hope. Void Moon & STS 107: Columbia, both "out there" requiems for the crew of the space shuttle Columbia, recorded the day of the accident, Feb. 1, 2003. Other songs came from events in my life and the start of the war in Iraq. All these things helped me focus on the value of family and friends. Words Failed to thank them all. I learned a lot about myself in making this disc. The Zoom PS-02 Palmtop Studio revolutionized how quickly I could make an emotion an audio reality - from feeling to song in the press of one button. Main guitar - Schecter C-1, acoustic - Applause AE48 (2003).

Strange Days – “Plug and Pray" philosophy (plug in my guitar and "pray" something worthwhile comes to me and gets recorded) began here. I recorded these songs over a span of 6 years. The track order is almost the same as the order I recorded them to let you hear the progress I made as a player (I hope!). If you are a musician and have never heard yourself recorded, it can be both a very humbling and very enlightening experience. Try it, you'll see! Barsoom inspired by Edgar Rice Burroughs Mars novels (1917). Whiteout inspired and recorded during a monster snow storm in Feb '02. Songs 1-7 recorded on a home stereo cassette deck, 8-14 on Tascam Portastudio. Main guitar - Fender Stratocaster (2002).
